Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation was founded by Alex Scott, who was diagnosed with childhood cancer before her first birthday. When Alex turned four years old she told her parents that she wanted to set up a lemonade stand in front of her house to raise money to give to doctors to find a cure. Alex continued to set up her own lemonade stands each year while continuing her own battle with the disease. As the news of Alex's annual lemonade stand spread, more people became inspired to join her on her mission. Sadly, Alex passed away at the young age of 8 in 2004. Her legacy continues to live on through the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation which has raised over 100 million dollars since Alex set up her first stand.
A new club at CHS, Alex's Lemonade Stand Club is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer. Childhood cancer is greatly underfunded, and needs all of the help that we can muster up. With your help, we can change the future for children battling cancer and their families.
